Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter, better popularly known as Ari Lennox, is an American artist and performer from Washington, D.C., who was the first woman to become a member of J. Cole's Dreamville Records record label. The first album she released from the label on October 21st, 2016, titled Pho. This is when she gained recognition. Shea Butter Baby, her first album Shea Butter Baby was released on May 7 2019. Ari Lennox started posting her music to the internet back in 2012 after she launched her debut mixtape, Five Finger Discount and debut EP Ariography In 2013. In 2014 she continued to release her music on the web, including her own issued single Bound. In 2015she sung in Omen's Elephant Eyes Album, performing the song Sweat it out on 21st July. Her music was circulating around the Dreamville team as J. Cole wanted her to join him in creating some of the references for Rihanna.
